CWB Guitar Trio Reunion
Yes it’s official… these Shire boys, long time friends & talented guitarists are getting back together for a reunion show!
My two mates and fellow fingers (in joke expained later) Dave Bova & Richard Calabro have touched base again after years of trio celibacy and initial talks several months ago. It seems now that everything is aligning again for this instrumental acoustic guitar trio as both the friendship & music come together again.
We had a rehearsal at Rich’s recently and went over some tunes, wasn’t too bad considering we haven’t had all our 3 guitars in the same room together for over 5 years. There were alot of mistakes but also alot of good melodies being played on our combined 18 strings.
A proposed set has even been drawn up, now the rehearsals begin.. and let’s hope it’s not another run of ‘Midnight Sessions’, our rehearsal times of yesteryear.
So why the saying ‘fellow finger’? Well back when we formed we were trying to come up with a name and a friend of ours John suggested ‘Dancing Fingers’ so we used that for a while. We also used ‘Celebration of the Guitar’, as well as ‘Calabro, Whear & Bova’ over different times of our career. I think this time around we’ll be known as ‘CWB Guitar Trio’, what do you think? sound good?
Here’s ‘Last Sight of the Moor’. Written by Richard, this is the version released on our album years ago.
This is ‘Midnight Sessions’. Home recordings with a song written by each of us, including some input from Lance’s long time friend, student and music partner Gerard Donno.

It’s 2012 Don’t Worry Be Happy
We all settled into the new year yet? Thinking about the future and your new year’s resolutions, turning over a new leaf and a fresh start? I have plans for this year too.

world wide web
On the world wide web i’m starting several online based website businesses, most of which can include you. They’ll be visual images on canvas, pretty bracelets and other pieces of individually crafted jewellery, as well as numerous items hand made from wood. My music community website and other types of communities will get a big dose of attention too.
Audibly & music wise i’m looking at getting my alternate folk rock songs professionally produced by an established musician, as well as recording more of my own versions to make little collections too. There’s also a certain guitar trio due for its 10th year anniversary.
Making a bit of money from these projects will kepp them all running and allow me to start more of my ideas, i have a fair few of them dancing around in my head.
If you’re not blogging something, you should be. My Lance blog will be posted regularly about my music, various random things like cool quick recipes or silly little games i find online or even the very talented people i work with for the numerous different activites i’m involved with.
So remember… It’s 2012 Don’t Worry Be Happy!!!!!!!! Have a great year.

Bye Bye 2011
2011 came and went by so very fast. The days, weeks and months just seem to fly by thesedays with the pace of everything steadily increasing.
For me it saw some close people dissappear and some new ones introduced to light the way forward.
Musically, my first album was launched digitally, i wrote some new riffs and even worked on a few cover songs too. Even the occasional idea appeared from time to time.
Artistically, my digital collages just seem to take on a life of their own, i enjoy making every one of them.
Online, i discovered the wordpress way of making websites, 200+ hours of self learning made it possible to make my new sites, opening the doors to some exciting concepts and ventures.
I wonder what stands out for you when you look back at the year?
Have a fun, but safe new year everyone!!
